Legacy Building Moms
A mentoring program for single moms of all ages. The group meets virtually on a regular basis to provide support, encouragement, and networking opportunities to ladies who have the most important job on the planet although it is the hardest and sometimes most thankless job on the planet. The goal of the mentorship is to provide a safe environment for the participants to be transparent about their struggles and victories. In an effort to remind them of just how valuable they are, Participants in the group receive the following each year: a special gift for Mother's day, a sponsored outing during the summer for their family and a pampering basket in the fall along with school supplies for the kids.
For thanksgiving, families needing assistance receive baskets filled with food and toiletries. For Christmas, families receive food and gifts. Each child receives pjs, underwear, socks, an outfit and toys.
In the Spring and Fall we set up our facility like a Macy's Department Store filled with new and slightly used clothing, accessories, household items, and much more. Families needing clothing, schedule 1 hour appointments to shop for much needed items at no cost to them.
School supplies are provided to students and teachers every quarter
